After several stays abroad in the USA, Canada and Ecuador, Melanie Schmitz finished her studies in English, German Literature/Media Science and European Ethnology and eventually wrote her master’s thesis in Ottawa, Canada. Followed by her work experience as a journalist, promotional texter and project manager in several event agencies and inspired by her own wedding in 1999, her business idea was born and the “marry me – Hochzeitsagentur” founded in the summer of 2003.

Melanie Schmitz sees herself as objective advisor, but moreover as confidante to the wedding couple during the whole organizational process. Along with her knowledge, creativity and love for detail, event expert Melanie Schmitz makes sure that all individual wishes around the wedding day are being taken care of and implemented. Whether it is an intimate ceremony on the beach or a big reception followed by a dinner party in a castle or urban venue, marry me takes care of the preparations while bride and groom relax and just enjoy the pleasant anticipation.

As a professional wedding planner Melanie Schmitz knows the city and market prices of all vendors inside out and her priority next to creating a beautiful day is to assure that precious time and costs of the couples are being saved.
